When choosing flooring for your new home, there are many options. One of the most common these days is wood flooring. Among these options is bamboo. Bamboo is actually technically not considered wood, but it has the same look and feel that wood offers. It is a durable product that is stable and unlike most wood products, protects from scratches. Another draw to this type of flooring product is it is eco friendly. In the growing process, pesticides and fertilization is not needed. It is almost exclusively grown in China in what is known as “the Bamboo Sea.” While its popularity is quickly growing here in the United States, it is a very popular product in Asia and is used as much as possible
Unlike wood flooring, bamboo comes in only 2 colors, amber and light blonde. The installation process is fairly simple and does not differ from the installation of a regular wood floor. The only difference is that carpenters can use a regular nail gun because its durability protects against other methods one might use. This product lasts for a long time and does not require extremely frequent refinishing.
