Trees for Shade and Privacy

If you have a larger home and lean more towards the planting of shade trees instead of the shrubs and hedges, evergreen trees are a popular option. One idea to implement this idea is to layer your plants and group them into odd numbers. They should be staggered in the background and in the foreground.   They should step down in height to give color, texture, and depth to your yard.

This is a great way to obscure your neighbors view into your windows. They are great when positioned over a deck or patio to provide shade and privacy throughout the spring and summer time. The trees loose their leaves in the winter, providing additional needed sunlight into the home.
