The length of your curtains can make all of the difference in how they are perceived by your guests. In most situations, floor-length curtains are the way to go. Unless of course, there is a radiator or a deep sill in the way. There are ready-made panels available in lengths from 63 to 144 inches, making it easy to find the perfect length for your windows. You can measure from the floor to where you’ll hang the rod, and then round up. You can always hem them a bit if needed and safe is better than sorry. The current trend is curtains that are designed to hit the floor (or sill or radiator). Curtains that are too short can seem nerdy or off, just like those high-water pants we have all worn at one time or another.
To summarize, there are 2 options for the length of your new curtains:
1: Just Hitting the Floor or Sill
2: Breaking Slightly at the Floor
