The first symptoms of minor CO poisoning may appear similar to the flu, without the presence of a fever.
Your symptoms of minor exposure might include:
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Extreme CO poisoning can result severe symptoms, including:
- Mental confusion
- Vomiting
- Loss of muscular coordination
- Loss of consciousness
- Ultimately death
Severity of symptoms will depend on the CO levels in the home, as well as length of exposure.
